Move in to Templeton Crossing...if you like living with trash

Well, I must say, not surprisingly, that since the last review I wrote in August, nothing has improved. Actually, things have gotten even worse. The neighbors that moved in on the other side of me had a domestic dispute within two weeks of moving in and the police were called twice. I saw the police cars here that night, but the manager in the leasing office was actually the one that told me about it. I also actually witnessed one of my neighbors shut his wife and their young daughter in the garage and walk away. She started cursing and pounding on the door and normally I would try to help a person in distress, but I didn't know if she would try to attack me. This same neighbor also harrases me all the time and when I told the manager at the office, she said, "Oh, I know who you're talking about, he does the same thing to me." We also have a registered sex offender living on the property. I honestly don't think they screen anybody before they let them rent here. Never walk to the mailbox by yourself unless you want to get stared at, honked at, or cars to actually come up to you and creepy guys to start talking to you. And as for the neighbors, they are complete trash. I only like the people in two other apartments out of the sixteen in my building. The garages are a joke. You can't even get one in front of your apartment. The parking is horrible. A few weeks ago, someone parked a trailer with jet skis on it in a parking spot in front of my apartment. It was slightly double-parked and made the parking situation worse. Also, you are not allowed to park these kinds of vehicles in the parking lot. I went to the leasing office and notified the property manager about this because it had already been there for three days and she said she would look into it. A few days later a tow sticker was placed on it which gave them the weekend to move it or it would be towed. Do you think it was towed on Monday like the tow sticker said''' NO!!! Was it towed on Tuesday' No!!! It did not get towed until Thursday. The leasing office just does not care. And now because the police have been called so many times for people loitering and partying and drinking in the parking lot in front of our apartment, they have moved over to the visitor lot behing the mailboxes. Every single time I go to check my mail (which is daily), there are about twenty beer bottles laying in the parking lot, along with broken ones and the beer cases. I was promised that they would try to install more lights in the parking lot to deter break-ins. That was over three months ago. Have I seen those lights''' NO!!! Also, there have been two attacks in the parking lot. One group of neighbors was outside at 3a.m. on a week night running through the parking lot because some people in a car drove up and attacked them. I called the police and that's how I knew what had happened. A woman also was getting attacked by her boyfriend and his brother and my brothers-in-law, who also live in the same complex, came outside and she ran over to them and called the police from their apartment. Five days later, both driver side tires were slashed on my brother-in-law's brand new SUV. I told the leasing office, but obviously nothing happened. They just don't care. Crawford Communities is a company that only cares about money and moves in any piece of trash that will give it to them. Also, you are supposed to keep your pets leashed at all times. My neighbor has a large Boxer that is constantly running around without a leash. Also, be careful where you step. You are supposed to clean up after your pet and I have seen a lot of neighbors with large dogs outside. But not a single one of them cleans up after his or her pet. I even almost stepped in pet feces right next to my car in the parking lot before. That is disgusting and unsanitary. People also don't know how to use the dumpster: trash is everywhere. Sometimes, people dump their trash right in front of the dumpster. There is also a train very close to the apartment that goes by about 6 times a day. Traffic always gets backed up on Hilliard-Rome Road, making it nearly impossible to turn left out of the complex. I have seen so many people pull right out in front of other cars and I have seen at least three accidents right in front of the complex. I have also seen the police here quite often. I am sure they are familiar with this complex. One of my neighbors also loves to sit in his car and rev the engine at 7a.m., repeatedly setting off my car alarm. I don't have enough bad things to say about this complex. And I have heard very bad things about the complexes that are behind us-from the reviews on this website and from my very own leasing office. I have checked the reviews from Waterford Pointe, Noble Park, and Citation Club and they seem to be no better. It is also impossible to break your lease. It does not matter if all of these horrible things happen. The office will tell you that it's out of their hands and you will have to pay over $2,000. So make sure you know what you are getting yourself in to.So if you are seriously looking for a new apartment, spend a lot of time researching the area and visit it at night. Go to the Columbus Police website and you can check how many break-ins and other crime occur in a certain area. And I will tell you that there is quite a bit of crime in this area. To anyone who wants a nice, quiet, clean place to live, Templeton Crossing IS NOT FOR YOU!!! If you want a decent apartment and decent neighbors, do not move in to this complex!!!!!!!!! My only happiness from this apartment is that my 13-month lease is almost up.
