What You NEED To Know

This place is so bad, that it is difficult to know where to start. Shall we begin with the rotting wooden firetraps, that pass for apartments' The all pervading smell of leaking gas, during the winter, should have been a signal that all was not well with this community. The gas energizes the heater that you will need, in great abundance, given that there is no insulation. Our "master" bedroom could have doubled as a meat locker, and that was in the late fall! When winter arrived, so to, should Eskimos. The lack of insulation also gives you the pleasure of listening to the neighbor kid?s music choice, and his father?s colorful rendition of the English vocabulary.
The "modern"(at the time Ronald Reagan was president) appliances have a tendency to explode. But have no fear, for there are fire extinguishers. That is, if one has their own hammer to break the glass. The ones that are meant to be attached were curiously missing at the time our antique microwave spontaneously combusted.
On the upside Columbus has an excellent Fire Dept. that would have been here sooner, if not for the horrendous plow job Windsor At Polaris does. They find it necessary to only plow one lane, often days after the storm, and the morons that live on this development have difficulty in finding the well marked parking spaces, so instead, park their cars in the middle of the road.
This "family" oriented complex lacks any play areas for the hundred or so kids that live here. So they find the parking lot as inviting as a playground. On numerous occasions children riding bikes, skateboards, and just walking, have run in front of our car, and have been within inches of meeting our hood. They roam unsupervised, around the lots, and it will cost in excess of $1000 to repair the damage caused to our car, from people cycling or boarding into them. Of course when the parents bang their car door on to my car without any compunction, the kids aren?t likely to care either.
The children are often unsupervised in the warmer months, late into the evening. Then again this is a "family" oriented place, so I suppose, part of your responsibility is to take care of other people?s children. For $1300 a month, you can have the big family you?ve always wanted!
The entrance to the development doubles as a school bus stop, which in itself, is not a problem. What is a problem, is that the parents are too lazy to walk to meet the kids. Instead, they actually drive the few feet from their apartments to the entrance. Of course, there is no parking. So it is wise to avoid entering or leaving the development at school bus time - and don?t even think of having a fire!
The management is ineffectual and dishonest. They seem to spend most of their time desperately trying to lease the many, empty apartments. They appear to be inexperienced and terrified by those residents who are determined to ignore what few regulations there are. Also, it is very true, nobody gets the deposit returned to them. The mysterious cleaning charges eat that money up, and there will be a bill sent within 30 days (mine totaled over $600).
The maintenance staff, (whom you will come to know well), are generally prompt and efficient. I?m not sure who empties the trash dumpsters, but that happens every morning at 4:00 AM. The trucks roar in, and have the piercing beeping sound when they back up. This takes place every morning, much to the dismay of the local rat population!
People who rate this place highly are either abysmally retarded, or it is merely the management attempting to boost the ratings.

This isn't a truthful review -- probably posted by a competing complex. This is a problem with this website. I don't live at this complex, and based on the other reviews, I probably never will, but this review just isn't an honest one.

who ever wrote this is awesome. you basically summed up these apartments in a nutshell. If anyone pays to live here after you read this is in for living experience they will never forget. They might as well just throw all your money into a burning trash can and then some cause you will have fees when you move out. Even if you leased but never actually lived in the apartment. They would find all kinds of damages that you "did".
