I am currently living in the Meridian apartments and I agree with the majority of negative comments. The staff is incompetant and rude. Any concerns or questions are responded to with the comment that the people in the front office aren't responsible for basically anything and that their home office (in Chicago) is to blame. The parking is a nightmare an unreasonable allocation of street parking to resident only parking rendering it nearly impossible to have anyone to visit the apartment. The towing policy is absurd giving the towing company carte blanche over towing and enforcing parking. The buildings are poorly maintained and while they can appear nice at a first glance, any real time spent there will highlight the poor design of the buildings, the lack of any ciruclation or fresh air in the hall ways and stairwells and the complete joke that constitutes their "secured buildings." In 11 months, my building has been actually secure for about a 2 week stretch. There is actually a car sitting in one of the "secure" garages that has been completely stripped down. That in late august and early september when they are trying to rent apartment to the overwhelming # of college students and their indulgent parents that render this apartment complex more of a dorm than a place for professionals who work downtown to live. I can not move out soon enough.

Parking for visitors is also on the 4th floor of the garages...more than enough spots up there. Try that. Also try finding an apartment downtown with adequate parking

Parking on the 4th floor of the 2 garages is hardly adequate. So what, a total of 15 residents can have 1 visitor over? The jig is up Charley1007, parking at the Meridian is like finding a parking spot in NYC.

The parking is the worst to say the least!!! The staff misinforms where guests can park - so much that my boyfriend gets towed (not resident) and then I park in the same spot and get towed myself (resident). Now, tell me how this makes sense....I get towed at my own place of livng??? To be clear, the entire fourth floor of the garage is not for guests - which the staff often misinforms - as usual. And the only parking on ground for visitors below is paralell to King and 5th, which was not what was told to me when signing the lease...they said paralell to Aschinger was for visitor too - clearly not, hence my boyfriend gets towed. To top it off, I get towed b/c there are dark brown and black passes (hmmm why so close in color - only to confuse people???). I went into the office and they were RUDE and told me you have to have a black pass - what the F87K are they talking about was my first thought b/c that was never told to me(their rudeness is an understatement try B*&%hiness). When I first moved in they tried to stick my in a ---- hole apartment - wait get this...until I brought my parents in - yes my parents - being a grown adult with a "real job" to get a somewhat decent apartment. My dog has chewed the kitchen wall and when replacing it - I found mold all down the walll - perhaps that is why I always have a cold since living here and used to never get sick...I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT - UNLESS you like stepping in dog ----. My puppy will no longer walk in the grass b/c of ths Sh*^ - no lie...mentioned to it to the office and as you can see and have probably smelled, all the ---- is still there - appearance doesn't mean anything to them obviously. For those who said the comments of the illiterate wasn't true - I STRONGLY DISAGREE!!!! THEY SEEM TO BE THE MOST ACCURATE. I am sure the positive responses are from those at the office - no residents.
