One word to describe this complex:GHETTO.
1) Safety- shootings, vandalism, gangs, drugs, thugs. The car next to mine had its windows bashed in. Murders. I'll never forget all the gunshots on new years day. Very ghetto. Like something out of a bad rap video. If you want to know the type of people that live here now, just watch the local news.
2)Parking- wouldn't be so bad if people could park within the lines. Also, there are so many potholes it looks like landmines exploded everywhere.
3)Appearance- It appears that this dump once was an okay place to live. It had a basketball court and a gym that were probably in great condition, unfortunately they are now about as useful a tumor. There is still blue tarps from the wind storm six months ago. Litter everywhere, and P.O.S cars really make this place look like the inside of a dumpster (which ironically enough also has trash laying all around it, almost like someone got to the dumpster and just said "close enough").
4)Office Staff- I don't even know the people who are in the office anymore. Seriously every time I go to pay rent, there is a new person. Apparently they are part of some gang, as they continually let gangs move in here, and do nothing when you call to report things such as loud music, or drug deals. So thank you Office Staff for letting a bunch of thugs on welfare move in.
5)Maintenance- Meh, really can't get them to do much, as there are always new maintenance staff members coming and going. It took like three months to get my air conditioner fixed. Sweet! Now I can open my windows and listen to the music coming from the black dudes in the parking lot.
6)I got lucky apparently, I moved in and the maintenance guy I talked to was amazed at how nice my unit was. Nothing but problems ever since. The dishwasher doesn't work properly, the AC (when working) blows, the water stays hot for literally a minute, even when turned up. So yeah, it pretty much sucks now.
7)Noise level- If you couldn't already tell, only move in if you like rap music and the sound of kids stomping and running up and down the hall outside. Oh and gun shots. Oh and you get to hear the "N" word a lot, as the men that live here walk around calling each other it, right before fighting (true story).
8) Overall Rating- It's like a mini version of Dayton, Oh. Very ghetto, dangerous, loud, drugs, murders. I wouldn't live here if it were free. Oh and I laughed at the, "would you recommend this apartment to a friend" box. As the friend you recommended to move here would without a doubt not be your friend anymore. I wish there was a choice that read "not in a million fu@#%&* years."
Most importantly, I would like to apologize to my wife for moving us in here to begin with. I'm sorry I didn't know the area was this ghetto, now I know, so let's get the hell out of here.
