My g/f and I lived here for about 1.5 years. We lived in 2 different apartments. We went from a 2 bedroom with 3 people to 1 bedroom with 2 people. After moving into our 1 bedroom the management tried to charge us $1200 for new carpet in the old place; for the sole reason of "dog smell" and dog pee stains . We did not own dogs what-so-ever. They said they had pictures and we said lets see them. The lady went into the back to get the pictures came back with nothing; she then apologized that they had the wrong apartment.
Our friend had lived there for about 3 years and wanted to stay a 4th when she asked the management for a discount for being so loyal they said very rudely, no, we can find someone else to live there tomorrow or even this afternoon that will pay the full price.
In our first few months of living there my car was broken into, $2000 worth of damage. When I told the management office about it, they shrugged their shoulders and said sorry. I asked for them to replace a light in the street lamp right over my car and they said they would. 2 years later....... still not fixed.
The review about the spiders and mosquitoes is totally true!!! You almost feel as if you are in the deep woods bc there are so many bugs.
The Pros. 1. The location (OSU, Downtown) 2. The name 3. The views (we lived on the 3rd floor facing the lake)
The Cons 1. Managemant (not friendly or helpful) 2. Price!! ($800 for a one bedroom!!!!) 3. Bugs!!!! 4. White barber carpet (very hard to keep clean) 4. Living on the 3rd floor. 5. Very thin walls (we could hear everything)
Side note about the price, they were going to up our rent 4% if we decided to renew our lease. You think it would go down.
I suggest Runaway Bay!!!
