I have lived here for three years now because I did not want to go through the hassel of moving. The rent keeps increasing because they are having trouble renting two bedrooms apts and offset the freebies (plasma HDTV) they give to the two bedrooms by upping the rent to 1 bedrooms.

The walls dividing apartments are okay, but the way the floors are constructed acts like a drum. The result is an amplification of people walking and stereo, etc are incredibally LOUD. You can hear every noise through the floors, ceilings. I can't hear my own television many times due to the neighbors above watching surround sound movies.

The neighbors above me smoke outside and it comes into my apartment. Being a non-smoker, I don't like to go onto my patio because of the smoke from the neighbors. The neighbors discard their cigarettes onto my patio, the mulch in front of my, and sometimes they get hung up in the wood slats. I'm concerned about them causing a fire.

Management takes the side of the person causing the problem. I believe because it's alot easier than dealing with the problem. I've reported the problems and I'm told to wear earplugs, or the neighbor was out of town when the problem occured, or I'm making it up because the manager saw how "well" this place has been constructed. After you sign a lease, you also get a card saying to walk easy on the wood areas through the apartment because it is loud. So, they acknowledge it, but won't do anything about it.

There have been a number of shady people come to the door since I've moved here. I think it's most likely a result of being close to the highway or the mall. Although I have not heard of any thefts, these soliticitations concern me.

The construction is lacking in that the windows grow alot of mold, crack and peel. Mold grows all over the apartment. The paint in the hall and bathroom has long runny yellow marks down the walls. The fixtures fall apart. The drains clog frequently. There are nails that keep falling out of everywhere.

I had a garage one winter and it's very difficult to pull into the garage because of how close it is to the parking, then it seems it's only a half inch wider on each side than the car mirrors. That's just getting in, pulling out is more difficult. If you go with a spot, they fill up in the evening. And good luck not getting dinged or scraped.
