Moved into our apartment a few months ago - within days it became obvious that the 'new' a/c unit didn't work; it couldn't get the apartment temp below 88 degrees even if we ran it all day. It's been months and months and we've asked them TONS of times to come fix and/or replace the a/c and nothing ever came of it - we ended up having to buy window a/c units and shell out an extra $200/month in electricity just to make the place liveable.

The venting system is HORRIBLE, our downstairs neighbors smoke like chimneys and for some reason it all gets dumped into OUR apartment, not outside (not helped by the fact that there is a HOLE in the bottom of our bathroom cabinet that goes directly to their unit). To give you an idea of how bad the ventilation is, I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and have lived next door to smokers before with no problem; here it's so bad that I've had to start using an inhaler and wake up nights because I've stopped breathing.

Things that we told them about the FIRST MONTH that we moved in that haven't even been addressed or looked at no matter how many times we've complained:
-Broken a/c and hole in the cabinet
-Sliding door to the balcony is broken and only held up by duct tape that we had to put in - upon opening it the first time it fell onto the porch
-Only one burner on the oven actually works
-Dishwasher hardly works at all (have to run each load multiple times)

We've been promised a new unit for two months now; I've stopped believing anything they say and we are now looking for a new place.

The other residents aren't much better; they're inconsiderate and there are groups of loud young adults/college-age people who come and sit in the parking lots and blast their music all night. Also there is a serious epidemic of cable splicing; we pay for our cable and have had to call out the tech SIX TIMES in three months already because other residents keep attempting to splice into our cable, resulting in either crawling internet or our cable just not working at ALL.

I believe that we must all realize that there are many changes taking place on a regular basis at this apartment complex. Obviously if you had enough money to live elsewhere you would have and they are doing their best to please everyone and young people that I have seen only come around on the weekend who cares. I have not had anyone break into my home, my car has been safe and Melissa is wonderful to work with. If you have all of these complaints, maybe you should have rented a house or bought one at that. Posting information about your neighbor smoking has nothing to do with wingate and I have been been a resident for two months and have ZERO complaints.
