I've lived here for a month and I love my apartment - it's really big and for the price you can't beat living here. It's not noisy, people don't bother us, we haven't had any problems like that. Maintenance, however... wow. People are NOT exaggerating in their reviews of this place. It's ridiculous! Our A/C doesn't work - oh and the past couple weeks of 90 degree weather was FANTASTIC to live in. Our kitchen faucet needs completely replaced. I have a casserole dish underneath the sink to collect all of the water that leaks out. Just tonight something goes wrong with our shower! We can't get it to transfer the water to just the shower head... so it shoots out full blast from the shower head AND the bottom part and the tub fills up within 5 minutes. So I guess I'll be taking 5 minute showers for the next year until someone decides to come fix it. There is a brush/trash pile right up against our patio fence. It's disgusting. The people here just mow the grass right around it. We've complained several times about the brush, the a/c, the faucet... now our shower needs looked at because we can't figure it out. Our downstairs bathroom sink was clogged when we moved in - it took us two huge bottles of Drain-o to fix it. At least I think it's fixed - who knows! We don't have a basement window - it's just plywood! Oh, and since no one's a/c works - don't just count on opening your windows to get some air if you have indoor-only cats like I do... because the complex doesn't provide you with window screens apparently! Nor do they provide a gate anymore for your "private" patio. Groundhogs run rampant and destroy flowers for the few people who try to plant them and make the place look nice. No one picks up after their dogs. There's a wholllllleeeee LOT to be done with this place. The apartments are great - but they only have 2 maintenance people it seems. They are renting out apartments knowing full well that NOTHING works in them. It's important stuff too like plumbing! Like I said, the price here is great, there isn't any crime going on that I've ever noticed, it's quiet, the apartments are huge for the price... but it's completely unprofessional what they are doing to people. Oh, and don't buy into their whole "move in right now and you don't pay for the rest of the month" thing - sure, you can move in, but don't count on having appliances until the very last weekend before you have to pay. Also, we were told we would have a dishwasher and we do not. The sinks are tiny, too. Our place was left a filthy mess and that was the ONLY thing that they ever took care of quickly for us... they immediately sent over a cleaning crew to finish the place before we moved in, but we still couldn't move in because they didn't give us our appliances. I recommend the place honestly... but first you have to get through maintenance. We might have to just cut our lease short with the way things are going... if we don't have a/c in the summer I doubt we'll have heat in the winter and I'm not going through that or putting my pets through that.
