I'm currently in my third year at Woodlake Village Apartments and I'm praying its my last. In general, its a nice place since its fairly quiet, it has the public area around the lake, and it has convenient access to the bike paths which I really liked.
While I have never heard actual noise from the neighbors apartments, I can constantly hear noise from the neighbors above walking around. While it is a tad worse due to them having children, even just the adults walking up and down the halls produces a bit of noise. It doesn't personally bother me, but it does drive the other adult in the apartment nuts.
Unfortunately, its not in the best neighborhood (far from horrible, but...) and there have been some issues. While they were quick to evict a neighbor who violate their leese by allowing some one to live with them without approval (and in this case the person was a sexual offender) they have not done anything about numerous complaints related to women's undergarments being stolen out of the dryers. It was annoying when people were waiting and the second you start the dryer would remove your clothes to dry their own, but steeling of women's undergarments is illegal and creepy. All they will do is suggest that you stay with your laundry (reasonable, but not adequate in my opinion).
