I've lived in Portage Towers since the beginning of the year. The new management company took over in May and it has been amazing how much things have changed! The previous management was horrible about work orders. It would often take more than a week for them to fix anything! With the new company things get fixed in a day or two. It's an amazing improvement! I was starting to get concerned with security the beginning of this spring when there was a high number of cars getting broken into or vandalized. The previous "security guard" was a joke. He would just sit there in his car and not patrol the property. The new company saw this problem and hired a new guy that is an absolute sweetheart that actually does his job. They are also installing a brand new digital surveilence system with a ton of cameras! Yeah, they are going to see when I come and go, but I much rather know that if someone causes problems it will be resolved. They also installed new lights in the parking lot so it's much better lit which makes me feel safer walking to and from my car late at night. The staff now in the office is great! Always friendly and always polite. I've seen these girls get chewed out by residents for things that are out of their control and they sat and took it with a smile and handeled the next resident with just as much grace and class. It's amazing what they have to put up with on a daily basis, yet they are as sweet as can be! I was debating about renewing my lease here, but with this new company making so many improvements I'm going to stay.
