When I first moved into The Cannery it was a fun, clean, friendly place to live. The office staff was always very professional, responsive, and started their residents' day off with complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning.
However, over the past two years that I have lived here, these positive aspects of The Cannery have deteriorated and now I am counting the days until my lease runs out (only two more months). The hallways are dirty, unkempt, and often have an unappealing smell. The elevators are often broken and it can take months before they get around to fixing them; currently one of the elevators has been "broken down" for over 3 months! The office staff hired new employees which have proven to be rude, petty, unprofessional, and lazy. Even worse, the office staff is constantly sending accusatory letters to the ENTIRE complex blaming the residents for the problems of The Cannery. I honestly feel like I live in a college dormitory where the RA's are constantly policing 19 year old students who live there. Isn't this suppose to be a place where "grown ups" live' The office staff doesn't treat the residents like adults..
If you're looking for a cool trendy place to live, think twice before moving into The Cannery; it's not what it used to be.
Oh, and by the way, The Cannery doesn't do complimentary coffee anymore.
