I would still live here if I hadn't been transferred to another city!

Childress Apartments is a good apartment for little money. I had a HUGE apartment (Over 1500 sq. feet) and paid 480.00 per month. The building is a renovated building from 1830. The outside looks pretty basic, but the apartments are really nice. The neighborhood doesn't look the greatest (older homes and some rental properties), but the neighbors are quiet. The neighborhood is being slowly updated and remodeled.
The management was always available for questions or problems. They bent over backwards to solve problems. Holidays and Birthdays were always recognized with cards and little gifts. When I went away for business or vacation the management was willing to watch the place and even took in my mail for me!
There is a seperate storage space for each apartment (provide your own lock). They are dry and easily accessible.
Overall, this is a quiet building, with the small touches that make simple living nice. It's not fancy- no gym, expensive landscaping (although the flowers look nice and the grounds are very well kept). Be careful- don't judge this book by its cover. If you do, you'll be missing out on a great apartment for a great price!
