I have lived in Emerald Lakes for 2 years. The first year was in a 2bd/2br townhouse and now in a 1 bd apt. I have never had any trouble with maintenance (the longest I've had to wait for a repair is 24 hrs.). The staff is super friendly, and their new property manager is great. They have resident functions and get togethers periodically. I've never had a problem with parking. I have been irritated with noise from what I assume to be college kids, but that was taken care of by management. The rent is high, but I feel safe, and love having people over because it's so nice. I think that is totally worth it!
