I wrote the comments on 07/31/03, and 10/03/2004. We?ve lived here now for 1-1/2 years. In this time, we have reported
15 items for repair. FIVE of them have been fixed.

We have had 4 completely different managementmaintenance staffs.

We recently had a leak in the roof that actually made it RAIN in our upstairs bedroom (we have a 2 bdrm townhouse) after 4 emergency calls to maintenance, and five days, we finally tracked down the manager to have them LOOK at the issue. The immediate resolution was to poke a screwdriver through the header of the bay window to allow the water to pass through without causing damage to the drywall.

Well, four weeks later, we have a mold infestation and ruined drywall, carpet and etc.

We are now looking at putting our rent into escrow to try to get Georgetown to make our home livable. We have another year to go on our lease, so we feel "stuck".

There is a $500.00 bonus for referrals to live here, but apartment after apartment goes unrented.

Last Christmas, they wanted 10 people to refer friends to live here, and those folks would get an entry to win a big screen TV. They didn't get 10 entries, and the TV is still sitting in the office!

I really like the layout and ammenities in my apartment, but the electric heat, and drafty walls and windows give us bills between 150 and our personal highest of 283. Yes, I wrote 283. We owned a 1911 home, and didn't pay that with a gravity fed furnace.

If you do want to rent here - get the lowest rent rate you can - it's not worth what they advertise!

Believe me - they WANT to rent to you!!!!
