I lived at Georgetown for approximately 1 year, and it was the worst experience of my life. They show you a nice show apt. and then place you in a dump. Promises are made by the management that they never keep (probably with no intention in the first place but to appease the tenant). There was no parking whatsoever, you would have people living down the road parking in front of the apt. Mantinence was a joke, you would call and call and if you were lucky they would come out take a look but that was about it, no solution for the ample problems. The staff is the most unprofessional, unfriendly of any I have ever seen. It was like they found them at a temp agency. Management is totally unconcerned with the problems of your apt. Their main concern is MONEY, if you are late by a day or two (no grace period) you'll have a notice to leave the premises. The buildings are so dilapidated, they have never been upgraded. The original windows are intact, door is old, and the overall decor looks like it is straight from the 70's. Neighbors are loud, drugs are rampant, lighting is insufficient. You don't feel safe, for example, when you throw your trash out, a particular tenant will immediately go dumpster diving through your discards, selling what he finds on the street corner by the church, talk about a eyesore! Stay away at all costs, if you lease you will be kicking yourself a week later for doing so. Georgetown is quickly becoming the Chevy Chase of Kettering. STAY AWAY!

As a current tenant, I can most definately state there is NOT rampant drug use here. Much of what the poster said is very true regarding this once extremely upmarket and nice community (10 years ago, that is), but the statement regarding drug use is a blatent lie.....

I live there too and can tell you that there are Not rampant drugs here!!! I can also say that the staff there has went out of their way to help me more than any of the other staff that has been there. I hope this one stays for a long time!

Drugs ARE rampant here! My fiance and I literally have crackheads living next to us. So, I dont want to hear about "no drugs". Young thugs and white trash are everywhere. And the dumpster diver.....please. Don't even get me started on him!
