When I moved to georgetown nearly three years ago there was a wondeful staff and they outlined for me the improvements they were making to the property. Within six months the entire staff was replaced and has been replaced every few months ever since. I have had to have major repair done on both of the apartments I have lived at here, both of which included water dripping into my apartment from rotted wood and later old pipes. To replace the pipes they had to cut a hole in my bedroom wall and I could not use my own shower for three days. They offered me NO COMPENSATION! Not even an apology. The maintenance staff does their best but there are only 2 guys for a 400 unit property that is in need of remodeling very badly, I had to wait 3 weeks for the maintenance men to fix a broken window and the apartment mgr had the nerve to call me at home and tell me how much of an eyesore it was and that I was making the property look bad. As if having a murder suicide next door really helps the community. This place has alot of hidden costs, like get this I pay 35 dollars a month for gas and water and the only gas in my building is for the water heater which is used for the entire building. There are absolutely no lights in the parking lot and nearly every apartment requires at least a 100 yard or so walk from the lot. I could go on like this forever, but I don't have time, whatever you do, do not move here. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

I have had experience with many apartments in the Dayton area and many residents as my neighbors. I am sure that people have had unpleasant experiences, but that happens at any property. What you really have to wonder is why someone would take the time to go onto this site and post negative experiences. I really wonder on what kind of terms the person that submitted the above was on with the management of the community. Were they a good neighbor? Did they have loud parties? Did they take good care of their apartment? You do have to wonder what is their motivation for doing such bashing of a community. They stated that they lived in 2 apartments there. If it was so bad, why did they move into a second apartment at the same "nightmarish" community. My parents always taught me that there are 3 sides to every story....the truth, your side and the other side.

I agree with the first poster and not the second. Most likely the second poster works for Georgetown and is trying to save face. Do Not Move to Georgetown of Kettering!
