I am the property manager at Georgetown. I took over in August of 2005. Yes another management change, sometimes this has to happen. I have been working hard to make this an enjoyable living experience. It is true you cant always please everyone; although I wont give up trying. I would be happy to speak with anyone who may be unhappy or has any questions or concerns. If I was permitted to live here I would. I care very much about the people and this property. In reference to the comments listed; I have been told that a previous manager has responded to comments on this site I don't know whether this is true. Next yes, you have to pay for water, sewer, trash, common gas(hot water),and common electric(outside lighting); which quite a few properties have begun to do as well. Next electric bills; Dayton power and lights prices have gone up. My bills at my home have been on the rise too. I do have residents who cover their windows to conserve energy and reduce their costs. The next item is other residents that may be causing problems; we do have policies in place on dealing with everyone on an individual basis. Again I would be happy to speak with anyone reguarding problems, questions,or concerns. I plan on continuing to make this property a great place to live.

I moved in during the the "reign of apathy" of the previous manager and do have to agree with all that the apartments were going down hill fast. I never did have problems with maintenance people though and to be frank, Georgetown is very lucky to have a maintenace staff of this caliber (as I tell the mangement all the time). Now that the new boss is in charge, things are beginning to look up. It is and will continue to be a slow process, but she is committed to it, even with budget restraints. I presonally had planned to look elsewhere but after much talking with and working on problems I have had I felt that changes were coming and positive ones. I have had nothing but cooperation (slow sometimes but not everything can be done in an expediant manner) And every issue has been adressed and all maintenace has been taken care of. I do feel a sense of community returning. Now if the riff-raff element can be taken care of, and everything I have seen indicates that it will (and I see a lot more than people realze)Anyway the current manager has my backing P.S. You can leave the appropriate bribe in the mailbox ;) |

You must be joking! What drugs are you on to give this place a good review? I have never experienced such apathetic office staff or rude neighbors in my life. It's like living in a trailer park complete with the trailer trash next door and upstairs. I cannot wait until I can leave this nightmare. Living here has been one of the worst experiences of my life. DO NOT believe that they will address your issues per the manager's message above. She does not return phone calls and even when you're looking right at her, she has that blank, vacant look of someone who can't remember where she left her purse, let alone take care of real issues that affect quality of life. Do NOT MOVE HERE!
