When I was looking for apartments in Dayton, I was pretty skeptical when I saw a 100% approval rating for Mad River - who has one of those' Moving there turned out to be a great decision.
I looked at half a dozen apartments in Dayton before I saw Mad River. The traffic on 725 is heavier than I like, but the apartments sit away from the road and you can't even hear the traffic. Actually, it was always completely peaceful there. I lived across from the pool and Ill be honest - I expected some annoying sounds during summer; they never happened - there were some splashes and happy laughs that made the summer weekends more relaxing.
As far as construction goes, I couldnt have been happier. My neighbor did woodworking in his spare bedroom. I would never have known if he hadnt told me because the walls are really well insulated. Not only do they do well against the weather, but they buffer noise really, really, really well. The large, attractive windows didnt leak air or water, the plumping and water pressure were AMAZING, and the walls and carpet were in great shape. Maintenance was excellent and always responded to my service requests quickly.
The other great thing about the apartments are the staff. Ive seen a lot of places with a really nice office staff - until you sign your lease. At Mad River, the staff were always as nice as the day I met them.
This really is a phenominal place to have lived. I relocated to Columbus recently, and I really wish I could have taken the apartment with me. If youre looking for a quiet, well built, well maintained place to live, I can recommend Mad River without reservation.
