While the grounds are beautiful, the office staff is a little on the shady side. Changes are underway and heat will no longer be paid starting winter of 09. The electric for a small apartment is between 150-200 dollars. Add that to the 600 in rent for an old two bedroom and you're paying 800 a month for an ugly not to mention small apartment. The buildings are old, and look it. The model apartment looks nothing like what you would end up with, but it is extraordinarily nice. Matter of fact, I would go so far as to call it a bait and switch.

Ask to see what you'd really be moving into, you'll see what I mean. Also, talk to the residents that live in the same building as where the office is located, they'll tell you how much the electric will run you, as they have the new heating system.

I must add that I was only a prospective tenant, who talked with 3 separate residents while checking out the property.

I lived here twice! Not true. How can you review something when you never even moved it - just toured the community and "talked" with current residents?!?! Not fair to Sycamore Square. This is a beautiful community!

I know several women that live there. You haven't lived there since 2005, I can assure you there have been lots of changes. The place is a shambles, the pool a mess, LOADS of crime such as car break-ins, home break-ins during daylight hours, and so on. Once again, this is not a place anyone would want to move in!

What do you mean by model? I was shown the available apartments that met mt specifications and chose from among them. The staff even held two apartments while I decided. It is an older complex, built in the days when craftsmanship mattered. Not like some complexes built in the 70's that are constantly in need of maintenance. Maintenance here is quick and capable. I lived in a one bedroom in a complex on Farhills in Kettering. My electric bill there was over $100/month with a $60 water bill. Here, my highest electric bill has been $28 and water is paid. Sure, I haven't used my electric heat yet but I have used the AC.
