The News Reports are True - Stay Away

Channel two here in Dayton has done 4 or 5 stories on The Villager and the laziness that allowed trash, feces, dead animals, maggots, urine and rodents to inhabit an empty unit for months on end. The City of Centerville is suing the owners for CRIMINAL neglect.
I can confirm that the leasing agent is a disaster. She acts exceptionally nice until you make a legitimate complaint. Then she quickly tries to spin a lie to cover herself. She also must delete any calls with non-emergency maintenance requests or the entire staff is great about not getting messages. Anita will also quote "special" (read rip-off) prices that are to be kept secret. Her white glove inspection consisted of letting grime and rust stains build up in empty units.
To add a few other gems - black mold occupies several empty units, ground level units are likely to flood, second floor units are likely to have leaks from the roof, dead rodents have been found in the "sparkling" swimming pools (green with algae last year and green with heavy chlorine this year), and to top it off the office put an illiterate rube in charge of putting chemicals into the swimming pools who had poisoned geese in 2004 causing the EPA to come after The Villager.
The sad truth is that the grounds look nice and if a management group that was not lazy and corrupt ran The Villager it would be a very nice place to live. Instead it can ressemble a Russian gulog.
