I shopped around a lot in the Kettering area and other apartments running around the same price and slightly higher were more outdated and dirty looking than Van Buren.

Good things:
Nice size unit and layout for the money
Maintainance problems fixed quickly
Convenient location
Lots of storage in basement

Bad things:
Lots of trashy people and children running around unsupervised
Thick layers of paint
Thin walls
People drive on grass
