I lived with my girlfriend in a single bedroom for 1 year. About a month after moving in the stench of cat urine began to seep up through the carpet in one corner. It just got worse and worse as the months went by. Then by about month 5, fleas that had apparently been lying dormant in the corner with the cat urine started to come out. We never even had a pet, and we were dealing with having to bomb for fleas. The second month in my girlfriend's car was hit by someone pulling into a parking space. Whoever had done it had apparently moved their car somewhere else and we could never figure out who had hit it. When our dishwasher broke we had to deal with stagnant water for a month before they finally came to fix it. And this was only after going to tell them for a second time, and finding out that the first time we told them about it no note was even made of it. One day, at about month 10, someone tried to break into the empty apartment next to us. We came outside to 3 police officers looking around for someone. I am not sure but I don't think they found anyone but the window was broken. We moved out on a Saturday, and the office was closed by the time we were done. On Sunday, the office was closed. We did not turn in our key until 2 days later because of conflicting work/office hours. We were charged $70 because of these three days, which is not even equal to 3 days of our rent, but some other much higher figure they came up with.

A friend of ours stays in one of the townhouses with 3 roommates. They all also plan on moving when their lease expires. On three separate occasions our friend's car was burglarized. They also had problems with water leaking into their apartment. It took one of the tenants taking a cup of water that had filled in less than an hour into the office to get maintenance to do the repairs.
