I've lived here for about 3 years and let me tell you it is great if you love living like your below the poverty line. The walls and windows are thin which works great for two things; hearing your loud college neighbors playing horrible music every night and having the coldest apartment possible. The AC never works in the the summer, no matter how many times they come to fix it and the heater is always on because the windows let in so much cold air. Heck, even the windows ice over even with the heater on 75. The hot water doesn't last more than five minutes and is so hard that it is nearly impossible to clean with such bad calcium build ups. Cars are always being broken in to. The floor plan is small and the floors are uneven. The apartments seem very cheaply made as everything in the bathroom and bedroom are rotting apart, despite cleaning the things nearly everyday. They've threatened to evict us because they applied our rent check to the wrong apartment and didn't even offer any condolences for it. They constantly raised our rates everytime we renewed. They only decent thing about living there was it was about 5 minutes from everything. Riverside in general as well is pretty much an armpit too. I'm afraid to answer the door half the time because of the inconspicuous looking people that lurk around. The parking is decent unless you live in a town house, if thats the case then good luck. They also attempted to redo the fences and trees, but it turned out pretty bad. They ripped up all the grass and didn't even replant it, so its pretty much all dirt and mud in front of your apartment now with no trees or shrubs. Even when we had a shrub and tree we had to trim it ourselves because they would never do it. Maintenance does come out in a timely manner and usually resovle the issue except when it has come to the AC/Heating. The only real security is the light that light yoru sidewalk, but ours was out for months untill we replaced it ourselves. Only recently have they actually started having police occasionaly patrol the area. The laundry facilities are pretty crummy and often dirty. Overall it is pretty dull and seems to slowly suck your soul into mediocrity and dispassion. I can honestly say that I feel like some of my depression stems from my detest from the dilapidated, cold apartment. I'm only glad I can finally afford to move out and up.

we dont know much about yourktown colony, but we were searching for an apartment for our daughter in the riverside area and recently went to amhurst apartments and even though they have a couple of two bedrooms to choose from they looked pretty nice.
