Do not be fooled by the beauty of the property or the ratings on this sight. Now unless you aren't concerned with maintenance and customer service you will do fine here. The apartment homes are spacious and open and the layout is great. From day one the management lied about the security deposit and first month free. We ended up having to pay first months rent to move in ( they called it a security deposit) SURE When we moved in I could tell the property manager could not of done a walk through or final inspection. I would have never let a new resident move into this apartment looking the way it did. The carpet was dirty, bathrooms dirty, paint everywhere it shouldn't be. Towel rack down, shower handle not working, sinks plugged, and mini blinds miss matched and one even fell on my daughters head from the second story dirty windows. Guess what I hired a plumber after waiting for months just last week, my husband put the towel rack up and we cleaned the apartment. When we called to complain and management told us they only had one maintenance and he was 70 work orders behind. So you see things are not 100% great here. (Oh! we talked to several other new residents who have been treated the same way and lied to about the deposit) One more thing if you rent a townhome the A/C units are not big enough to cool you upstairs oven. The units are the same size as the ones used for two bedroom flats. This information came straight from a HVAC specialist. Other than the previous mentioned complaints the neighborhood is great. PS All of this and not even a move-in gift I was asked further down if I would recommend Camden place and I answered yes with hopes the management or owners will consider making some changes by making customer service a priority as it should be in this business. Well its been a year and I felt the need to add to this rating. I will be moving at the end of my lease. A few maintenance issues still exist after a year. Our stove was looked at 4 times and never repaired. The silverfish and mold around the windows are unbearable and I will not go through another summer paying outrageous electric bills trying to keep cool in my upstairs. The Edwards Communities are not concerned with keeping good residents just stuffing there coffers with money by raising rents.

I have lived here for going on 3 years. The Management has changed 3 times, wich each time getting worse than the first if you can belive that possible. You can just move in and bring all your friends to live with you at no additional cost and by the way bring all your pets too. When I first moved here it was a beautiful place, now its like living in a low income area. The Management is worthless to say the least. If they would get off the butts and look around things may get done. God forbid you bring anything to there attition they dont care as long as the property is full. God help us if there is ever a fire around here the buildings will burn to the ground before the trucks can get through due to the parkings. If this is what a Edwards Community is all about that I think I would pass on living in one. This is the worst place I have ever live and I would not put my worst enemy in this community.

I agree with the management getting worse. The best manager they had was Jennifer. She at least cared and tried to get things done, but it seems Edwards holds their managers down and they don't let them make decisions on their own. Since she left this place has went to crap once again. The new manager is very little help and when asked a trivial question she studders through her response and still has to go to upper management. Catherine is very friendly and nice, but couldn't make a decision if her life depended on it! What a joke. I'm out of here ASAP!

I finally left Camden Place and happier for it. When I left I was told by the manager that she would get right on my deposit and get it out. By law they are suppose to have your deposit back (WITHIN 30 days) but do not expect it until about 32 days because they hold your money as long as they can to draw interest off of it and mail it on the evening of the 30th. Thats how Edwards works it from lying to you about no deposit needed to waiting until the day before you are to move in and ask for a full deposit even though your credit and rental history are great. I have lived in many apartments and even worked for some large management companies and was never required to put more then a 99.00 deposit and would receive it back within two weeks of departing. Its all about Money with Edwards not about the Residents or excellent customer service. As for the management that company does not know what good management is.

CORRECTION---After I contacted the BBB about how poorly I was treated, I got a response from the regional manager and they are refunding half of my money! From now on if I have a problem here, I'm going straight to the regional manager!!! I was really impressed!
