I previously wrote a review on here stating Camden Place was a great complex at least I thought so at the time. The apartment manager Justin is an -------. And will constantly talk down to you like you're an idiot. I much preferred the previous manager Sue. A few months before our lease was up I called Justin to try and negotiate a lower rent (I had lost my job and money had been VERY tight paying over $1,000 mo. ) in return I offered to clean the vacant apartment, pick up trash around the complex. He turned me down basically stating it wasn't his problem. He didn't even TRY to help. Our lease was up August 1st we moved into a cheaper apartment in the Sawmill Rd. area we received a bill in the mail for $907 for damages! When I called Justin to see what the charges were for he stated that they were for pet stains/ damages to the carpet. We had a puppy so we expected some repairs to be needed. We had carpet stained prior to vacating the apartment. We did expect to have to pay to have the living room carpet replaced as the cleaners were unable to get all of the stains out. They charged us for replacing the carpet in the WHOLE apartment (basement, 1st floor, and 2nd floor) Our puppy was NEVER allowed in the basement or upstairs so there would be no stains/ or odors therefore the carpet downstairs and upstairs NOT needing to be repaired. There were a few blinds which our puppy had chewed up I believe there were 3 to be exact the complex charged $60 to replace! When they have a stack of singles in their maintenance closet! So to make a long story short Justin refused to lower the price of our damage bill and just rambled on nonsense. This place is a joke. I cant believe how they treat their residents! we have NEVER once been late to pay our rent or had any complaints towards us about any neighbors. We were always curteous towards fellow neighbors and management. During our time at Camden Place we had our chimey fall down! Which could have easily killed us! It took them almost a yr to get it fixed. The window in our spare bedroom would not open maintenance stated there was nothing they could do about it. I could go on and on. We were able to find a much nicer apartment, in a good area, (without a basement) for much less. Keep looking.

Dont believe this review, its written by the new manager probably. they have trouble renting the apartments here its so bad. there is too much crime and i think some of the staff steals since we've been missing small things. maintenance sucks if you even get them to respond and office staff goes from nice to rude after youve signed that lease and moved it. oh, and the price mention as steep, hardley. they can't rent the apts so they drop the prices and you'll find that your neighbor is paying 100 to 200 less than you are cause they got in on some "deal" when they needed to rent units fast. this place is old and everything in the apts is falling apart and cheap and they wont fix it.

I can assure you this is an actual review by a tenant. I have never worked for ANY edwards communities prior. Ask the management if an Autumn has ever worked for them! They'll tell ya! My opinion if you're rude to the management they will be rude back

see I am moving in in a few weeks and I know this is not true, they do not have a hard time renting to anyone, we have to wait till our unit is done because there is only one of them, whoever wrote that is someone who did not pay the rent and prolly is bitter about there own actions. we get new carpet and laminant so they cant be too bad, I guess when you get a nicer apartment the other complexes in the area have to write these to try to turn people away from the compatition!! silly people, camden is awsome!!!!
