If you aren't able to buy your own home, this ranch-sytle apartment is the way to go. It was so nice not having upstairs or downstairs neighbors to worry about. Anyway, here is a quick good/bad list:

Bad:
- The sidewalks get pretty hazardous in the winter. If you want the snow and ice gone, you'll probably have to do it yourself.
- This is a personal complaint, but our neighbors insisted on changing their own oil, which created a slick in the parking lot.
- The air conditioners are REALLY old. A few have been updated, but most haven't. Plus, the maintenance men will try to "repair" the old unit over and over and over before finally replacing it.
- Be prepared for a few silverfish and centipedes. This requires yearly spraying.

Good:
- What a great staff! Kendra and the gang are friendly, helpful, and responsive.
- The square-footage is good for a 2-BR apt.
- Maintenance was prompt and responsive (except the AC situation, which probably wasn't their call).
- The heat pump allowed for more efficient heating during shoulder seasons. Though, they could have included instructions on how to switch between heat pump and furnace. I had never had a heat pump before, so I needed instructions. Once switched to furnace, the apt. heated right up.
- I have seen others complain, but I think the price is good for a 2-BR in such a good location. Apartment prices are relative, anyway.
- Great private porches for 2-BR's.
- Have I mentioned how great the ranch-syle apartment was'

Bottom line: Karric is a HUGE complex, and yet the staff remains friendly, the grounds stay clean, and maintenance remains responsive. I hated to leave. And the ranch apartments are awesome.
