I lived there twice, the first a year in a 1 bedroom with fireplace and the second a three month lease on a furnished efficency.

The walls are a bit thin, but about normal for apartments. If you have an efficency you run the risk of upsetting the guy next door with your TV at night.

The interiors of the 1 & 2 BR's have a weird retro feel to them, and the furnished effincies are actually pretty nice, if you dont mind putting your bedding away every morning and folding up your bed.

The prices are high for Columbus but low for Dublin, and its right on the border. Prepare to get financially raped if you want a short-term lease though. Also they run specials all the time, wait until they run one and sign one of those.

The staff is excellent and easy to deal with, but I never had to call for maintaince so I dont know how well they do.

If your apartment faces the back of the building, its likely spooky and dark at night, but unless you have a stalker or something, totally safe. The neighborhood is mostly quiet young Dublin cube farmers from what I could tell.

My efficency was in the rear of a building, backing up to a bunch of trees and the property line. The public lights back there didn't work, and at night it got _really_ dark back there. I never reported it because I liked the darkness and had zero troubles with security when I lived there before.

I got my full deposit back both times, and they even tracked me down once to give it to me as I had given them a bad final mailing address by accident. They even returned a photograph I left at the first apartment, thats quality service.

If you find Columbus communities on Livejournal or whatever, their management co, Oakwood, is reccomended by others.
