Moved here last year as it was closest my boyfriend, and was the cheapest in the area.

I live on the south (pet) side.

It started out with my 40 something male neighbor walking around shirtless and running to his door every time he heard a car coming up outside.

He lives with his mother, and had a brother who moved out recently, but is still constantly there (by the way, 3 people in a 1br isn t allowed but management didn't do anything about it ).

Well, the running to the door was suspicious, but I was clueless as to why.

Then magically it all came together.

12:04 am, Easter morning "somebody" stole his car, and drove it through my patio at midnight.

My boyfriend and I heard the noise of the wooden fence shattering and looked outside to see his car pulling out of my patio.

We called emergency maintenance, who actually showed up promptly.

It had rained early in the night and the ground was still wet, so there were tire tracks from the car.

Even the maintenance guy could see that whoever was driving the car was going straight towards the parking spot in front of my patio, crashed through, then backed up, and drove off.

This parking spot is a handicapped spot that the guy always parks in regardless of the fact that he never displays a handicapped placard.

After the maintenance guy looked at everything a cop showed up.

Turns out that the neighbor had called the cops to report his car "stolen" just a few minutes ago.

Because of the scene, the officer questioned my boyfriend and I.

Conveniently, the cop noticed that the guys car was parked right around the corner, less than 100 feet away.

By the way, this "stolen" car is a 1980 something Ford that's rusted all over.

The guy immediately runs straight to his car.

Didn't even bother looking around for it.

So anyhow, the cop shows us the guys criminal record as well as his brothers who is living there.

The main guy has one prior charge for violence in the 80s, but his brother has 12 or 13 charges.

Robbery, assault, and selling stolen goods are the repeating offenses, as well as a 2004 ESCAPE FROM PRISON, and a warrant out for his arrest.

NOTHING came of any of this.

They couldn't prove that it was him or his brother driving the car, so the management wouldn't reprimand them at all.

They took a MONTH to even start replacing my fence.

The cop also told us that there had been a girl reporting a guy trying to take the screen door off of her patio, who ran when he was seen.

She I.D.ed the brother.

Since I have lived here, I've also had my car broken into, and constantly have someone trying to turn my doorknob late at night.

The past few weeks my "wonderful" neighbor has taken to yelling his good morning hellos at 7:50am , and slamming his door afterwards making it impossible for anyone who works the late shift to sleep.

Management does nothing.

I gave them about 2.5 months notice that I was leaving, and asked then if they could find out the price I'd have to pay since my living room needs painted white.

I am now moving in a week.

I have been to the office at least twice since then, asking the same thing, and the response is always the same.

"We haven't spoken to the painters yet, but we should be seeing them in a few days.

We'll give you a call." Still nothing.

NEVER MOVE HERE.

There are other places on sawmill that are better for around the same price.

I live here in fear, and carry a knife with me every time I know that I'll have to come home late.

DO NOT TRUST KARRIC OR OAKWOOD MANAGEMENT.
