We were at Lakeview for 3 years in that time they lost our rent check twice and although we had proof from another person that witnessed we had dropped the check in the door slot prior to the due date they still charged us $60.00 dollars in late fees. We weren't the only ones this happened to our next door neighbors had the same problem as well as several others we spoke with in the complex. We decided to present our rent check in person and asked for a receipt and were informed they don't give receipts. Their office staff are in general inept and could care less about customer service with the current manager being the most offensive. They are very nice when you first lease an apartment then they seem to forget who you are and why you're there. The complex apprears nice but upon closer inspection they have let the property run down over the 15 years or so the complex has been there. The landscaping and grounds are in sad shape with minimal attention to upkeep. Our apartment unknown to us until "after" we moved in we found the upstairs had major water damage they attempted to conceal it by minimal repairs. When you walked across the floors upstairs they sagged under your weight and you could see the ceiling in the living room move and sag. We approached the manager and she said she'd check with the maintenance people and let us know. They came and inspected the floors and said they were okay and there was nothing they would do. So we noted the problem on the move in sheet for our protection if a floor broke through. Thankfully they didn't until move out day and a large square of the living room ceiling drywall came loose and fell while the movers were upstairs. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
