I now live in an apartment! What a difference. The walls are so thin at Lakeview that sometimes I would think someone was actually walking around in MY apartment when I was home alone-thats how noisy it was there! I could actually hear the entire normal conversation my neighbors may have , if I cared to listen! For over $750 per mo! That's insane. No fireplace or garage is worth hearing others live on both sides of you!
The property manager hates to replace things. Had to argue with him for weeks to replace an old, worn out hot water tank. Cold showers were the "norm". Of course when he finally broke down to my constant badgering, everyone then knew the hot water tank WAS broken!
There are really too many trees in some of the area. Grass does not grow well because of little sunlight and there are wet muddy areas sometimes outside the rear door.
The windows leak cold air in winter badly- you MUST put up plastic in the living room! The temp. difference, summer and winter between downstairs and up starirs is truly significant! It will be freezing downstarirs and the heat on 70, and you'll go up starir and feel too warm!
The traffic on sawmill and riverside is horrible. It takes 15 min in rush hour to drive to the nearest corner store! Christmas shopping season is horrific with traffic and accidents! Firestation is 1 mile down west case so the fire sirens are frequent. Then, on top of that, the OSU airport is across sawmill from the complex! Lots of low flying planes.
I just couldn't recommend to anyone to move there!
