Garbage piles up and overflows on a weekly basis. We have only one trash receptacle despite paying trash removal fees. We are significantly overcharged for water. I didn't mind paying more at first (about as much as a $138k mortgage at 6% with all the fees) as it was quiet, but it has since become quite loud. The apartments are small and awkwardly laid out making furniture placement difficult. I can hear bass at all hours of the night coming from both apartments and cars driving to and from the complex. Save your money and buy a house.

You are very correct by stating that there have been challenges with preventing the garbage from piling up. The first thing residents need to do around here is care about the community we live in. Due to the fact that we only have one trash receptacle, our trash compactor is able to be operated by ALL residents. The AEC team has graciously provided operating instructions and compactor rules as well. JUST HIT THE BLUE FORWARD BUTTON every time you put your trash in. Put your trash IN trash bags (not kroger/giant eagle grocery bags), break down your boxes, DO NOT THROW AWAY FURNITURE, and by all means put your trash IN THE COMPACTOR not in front of it or beside it or in the walkway. If you see the indicator light come on that says 3/4 full (yellow light which is also the reverse button) call the office and let them know it is almost full. I am a resident that lives very close and I do my part to make sure it is kept clean as well as other residents that live near the compactor as well, but it takes all of us to keep the community clean. The maintenance staff should not be just in charge of babysitting our trash. The last news letter advised us to NOT put old furniture in the compactor as this is the main problem that it fills up quickly and creates a disgusting mess.
