I've been at Watersedge which is part of Harborcrest for too many years. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy just to get the referral bonus!! It is well known to area residents that The K&D group buys properties, renovates them and then lets them go to hell. I know a resident who has lived here for 26 years and still cant get new carpet!''' That is sick! The maintenance staff is so poorly funded and staffed that they can't even do basic repairs and upkeep - per their own words! The management staff is instructed to be "yes" men by telling you what you want to hear so you'll think your gonna get some basic maintence and upkeep done while they have no intention of doing so! The buildings are full of roaches and the balconies are dangerous with layers of peeling paint/broken cement/loose railings and panels- someone's gonna get hurt and they don't even care. Obviously they have the city inspector in their back pocket! It's a real shame how they treat their loyal residents with such disregard - like we're supposed to be grateful to live in overpriced slums! Yes the pools are disgusting most of the time, and the basement storage units are usually flooded! Yes I've seen plenty of registered sex offenders in these four buildings while our children play outside! If you complain they find a reason to not renew your lease, or just ignore you all together - cause THEY DONT CARE! Freeze in winter unless you seal yourself in so you cant open doors or windows. Can't control heat so many residents turn on their ovens or boil water for heat which makes the elec. bill higher in winter than even summer with fans and a/c! In winter only doorways are shoveled and salted, parking and drive poorly plowed and not salted so the wind from the lake blows the elderly away and cars into others on giant sheets of ice!
