Average Apartments

I moved in, short notice, to a one bedroom apartment in December 2006. I will start out by saying that yeah, the apartments aren't luxury- but they are also definitely the cheapest in price that I have been able to find for the more important things that they give you.
We had some problems with our apartment in the past 6 months that we've been here including: hot water not working, heat not working, our oven didn't heat up enough, and out toilet had a malfunction. However, every single time something happened, the staff was wonderful. They got someone in to check and fix the problem within the next 24 hours. Most of the time, it was even the same day I called.
They are older apartments, so things like how clean they are come into effect. They are not the scum of the Earth, but they are not luxury. They are clean unless you're wanting some million dollar appeal.
The area is okay... the apartment we live in is near a train crossing, so that's annoying- but that's not something the apartment can really help. And it's probably one of the reasons our apartment is cheap.
The area isn't the best, but I haven't had a problem with robbery, theft, or anything like that. Grant it, living in a downstairs apartment- I can hear people walking upstairs... but that's anywhere.
I recommend it for college students and those who are not extremely picky about living conditions.
I am considering renting from them again when our lease is up.
