Management problems, Noisy, Dangerous

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2008
Having lived here for nearly a decade, I wish I had a better option in my price range, but I did get what I paid for. The apartments condition was mediocre at best when I moved in.
Over the time I lived here, I've seen crimes outside my window, cars left for months in undrivable conditions, and what are likely drug houses in nearby buildings.
The safety chain on the front door was held on by poorly replaced nails, which didn't do their job when they needed to.
They removed the tree that gave my apartment shade, and after I bought an AC unit to help (1 AC for an entire apartment isn't enough) they chose to replace the windows with ones not compatible with window AC units. It took a month to have the blinds installed afterwards, when the workers kept re-scheduling and re-scheduling, entering and leaving without locking up, or removing the old blinds. When they finished, the managers came by (having to re-schedule even that appointment) in order to threaten eviction over a bit of clutter the workers found, which the manager admitted wasn't a problem, but they insisted I deal with quickly, despite my medical problems.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
