When my husband and I saw this place we were ready to sign instantly. It was beautiful! However, even though it is beautiful...it was one of the worse things we've done. We should have stayed at Charter Woods (in same area) We had a worm problem...their solution was to put a video camera up and tape the worms coming into apartment everytime it would rain. We had to go to lowe's & fix problem ourself. 2...they talked us into signing another lease because we were unsure about signing anything because of career plans. They said we could easily get out because they were aware of the situation and they unit style was easy to rent. So, we signed...3 months later found out we had to relocate because of a job. A new manager was there and said she too would work w/us. I signed a paper giving notice. The new deal was that we would have to pay 2 months rent and loose our deposit. When I asked about the pet deposit, they said I would get that back because it fell under a different category. So, I waited and waited after moving...until they sent us a bill for carpet cleaning, and charged me because I left a bag of food in the freezer. This is the first place I had ever lived that done this, and I think it is dumb because they clean carpet everytime someone moves out. Every apartment I ever lived in has given full deposit back and not charged anything. And they said I wouldn't get the pet depoit back either because I agreed to give that up as part of buying out! That was a lie. I was told by 4 different people in the office that I would get the deposit back because it was different from the security deposit. My point is clear...this place is very pretty, but the management sucks and if you move in...expect them to send you a bill when you move out. They are greedy and mean people. Management changes so much...you hear something different everytime you go in there.
Oh- and the big car give away...don't get your hopes up because it is between all oakwood management apartment communities.
...And becareful...car's get broken into here and there are broken beer bottles everywhere on weekends.

I would recommend the Highlands, Ivy Manor, or Charter Woods. Channingway is a joke!
