My wife and I moved into the Reserve In May 2006. The first eight months were pretty good, quiet, well kept, no problems at all. The first problem came when winter hit. Snow removal was and to this day is a joke. They do get to it eventually. Sometime in early '07 the Oakwood Management was gone and Anderson Resources took over. This change proved to be the beginning of the end. Mr. Anderson, the owner, decided that even though we pay for a gated community, he wants the gate up from 7a to 7p, allowing anyone to come behind the gate.(That's when it's not broken.) There is no control over the use of the pool. The pool inside of the Reserve is supposed to be for Reserve residents, but people constantly came in from outside. The hot tub was closed alot of the year due to drunk college students abusing it, even though alcohal was not allowed in the pool area. This became my personal war with management, only ending when the pool closed for the season. Now for the cherry on top. My wife went in for minor surgery on the 29th of Jan, and ended up in ICU for a week. I called the office on the 1st of Feb., and explained the situation to them, and was told that if I didn't have my rent in that day I would be charged a $20 late fee. Are you serious' I've never been late on a payment for anything in my life. Thats when the "Manager" out of the goodness of her heart, waived the $20 as long as the rent is paid by the 4th. My wife is hooked up to a breathing machine fighting for her life and this woman wants to quote me policy' After all's said and done we will be moving soon. The area is great, close to everything, even the complex itself is very pretty. It's just not worth fighting poor management every other day.

I'm sorry that you are handicap and have trouble with the gate. Because the gate is open there is a constant stream of non-residents using our facilities. There are people who don't live here swimming in the Reserve pool daily. By the way, when the gate stays open all night it's broken! If you had lived here in '06 you would see the Reserve is not what it used to be. You've had no problems with the staff because you've had no problems. There is one change for the good, the new maintanence guy (Tom, I think his name is) is awesome. He'll do anything in the world for you, and actually seems to care. We'll be moving soon, so you can keep your dirty fountain, your vandalism, and your open gate.

I am personally glad you are leaving! You have no compassion for anyone. If you knew anything about fair housing and handicap laws you would know that the staff at Channingway is doing their job and doing it well! Have a nice life outside of Channingway!

Rules of a complex should not be overlooked to accommodate handicapped individuals. There are many places geared toward their needs. Why should everyone else suffer when you opt to mainstream into our communities? :(
