I have enjoyed my stay at The Highlands. I think that the soundproofing between the apartments is great. However, the neighbors to one side of us are very inconsiderate and slam their front door at least 6 or 7 times a day which actually shakes things in our apartment. I have never heard anything from the neighbors on the other side. One downfall is that the windows are not insulated well. Everything that goes on in the parking lot can be heard in my bedroom. I am a light sleeper, but have had to start wearing earplugs to sleep through the night.

I think it is great that there is a towing company. I think that every resident should be able to park in a space though, not just 2 per apartment. The fee they charge for the garage is pretty steep. But to have someone get towed for not having a pass is great for the people who actually live there.

The staff at the office is friendly, they know my face, and some of them know my name. The maintenance staff is great. Of course, I think that it helps to be polite to them, which I don't think many other tenants in the apartment complex are. But we always get our problems fixed right away. With the exception of our microwave... but that was because the microwave was on back order. But we were not informed of this, and lived without one for about a month. But other than that, they have been wonderful.
