I rented a 3-bedroom townhouse from University Woods with 2 of my friends last fall. We had been renting a house, and the owner decided to sell and we had a month to scramble and find a 3-bedroom place. We chose University Woods because it was available and it was cheaper than other options. We came to find out why it was so cheap in the subsequent year.
At first the staff was friendly and willing to work with us, but after we moved in the demeanor turned rude and help was hard to come by. The leasing agent was rude on the phone on several occasions and the maintenance man also made an effort to single our apartment out one Saturday night to initiate an exchange. That particular incident started with the leasing agent calling my phone and saying that we were in violation of our lease for having a large party the night before and needed to have a meeting. The truth was our neighbors had had the party and she was unwilling to listen to my explanations until I had her meet at my place to show her our innocence. The maintenance man for whatever reason decided to come along and point fingers at me personally and stopped by later that night for no other reason than to continue the quarrel. There was no apology given; only a warning that parties of that magnitude were not allowed. These types of exchanges continued till and included the day we moved out. Every conversation ranging from parking to maintenance issues to turning in our keys resulted in defensive rudeness from the agent that was completely unmitigated.
The townhouse itself was shoddily built and poorly taken care of. The walls were so thin that 4 nails couldn t hold a shelf in place, the neighbors were easily heard, and my pillowcase left color marks on them. The dishwasher dirtied the dishes more than cleaned them, the door jams to several rooms were cracked and poorly patched, the fridge had broken seals, the stove was dirty as was the floor and walls behind it, and the air conditioning was constantly broken. We had maintenance out no less than 6 times to repair it and the days where it worked were outnumbered by the days it did not. Another annoyance was the washer and dryer were located in separate closets on the first floor.
The parking is atrocious. You are only allowed 2 cars in front of your place even if you have 3 residents, guests must park on the street or else be towed by a company monitoring 24/7, and the lots are in awful condition. They attempted to fix them once, by blocking off the lot for 7 days so they could reseal them. A job that should have taken 2 days tops, took them a week and all the while we had to park on the street.
The sidewalks were never shoveled, leaves never cleaned in front of our place, the beautiful landscaping shown in advertisements is non-existent. They did not mulch until September, which I found quite odd. They told us a perk was they never had to close the pool because it was private property. That was a lie, it was closed in the fall just like everywhere else, and it was never cleaned.
Overall, I counted the days until we could move out and that was a month after our lease was up. We turned in our notice to vacate and they somehow didn t have it when we went to move out, thus forcing us to stay an extra month for an additional monthly fee. On the lines of fees, it is $75 if you are one day late, with no grace period. A $25 fee if you lose your parking pass or don t turn it in at the end of your lease and $5 per key. We paid $839 for a 3-bedroom townhouse, the cheapest around and I now know why. If you don t mind low rent for even lower treatment, this is your place. If not I would recommend a cardboard box.

Sounds like you are upset that you were confronted about a party and are lashing out at them. If you want to party that's what club's are for. I have several friends that has and 1 that still lives at University Woods and has for a couple of years and they LOVE the property and all of the people who work there. Again it sounds like you wanted to party you should have moved into a club not an apartment.
