I believe that this complex was originally a nice place to live. I've lived here since 2002, and I don't think a single person in the office has worked there for more than a year.



My hot water heater is smaller than the average hotel water heater, and I can't take a 10 minute shower without the unit having to heat more water. The maintenance staff "turned it up," but nothing has changed.



The smoke alarm has gone off in the building laundry room 3 times in the past month. Management told us to unplug the washer and dryer, and they posted an "Out of order" sign on the door for a few weeks. Oh, and let?s not forget the time I came home to find a group of kids jimmying the washer and dryer for quarters. They were getting into the building by putting tape over the doorjamb so that they could easily pull it open; which leads me to my next point...



The front security door to our building has a broken closer arm, and so some of the other residents in the building leave it hanging wide open for whomever wishes to come in.



The door to our mailbox kept falling off, and when I finally couldn't get it back on, management said they were "ordering the part." The part took almost two weeks, and do you know what it was' A screw that was drilled in to act as a hinge.



The electric bill for our 1000-sq.ft. apartment is astronomical in the winter due to the dilapidated heat pumps.



The management does not answer the phone in the office; they screen their calls.



If the parent company would make a one-time, large investment in updating the units here, I could see that this place could be a nice place to live.



Since that isn't the case, they repair things to the bare minimum so that they can avoid you putting your rent in an escrow with the county. I have contemplated contacting a lawyer to see if I could get them to release me from the lease due to a breach in the rental agreement. They don't enforce any of their rules, and if there's a disturbance, rather than evicting people they simply tell you to call the local police.



They also put a ridiculous amount of signs in front of the apartment complex to rent apartments to just about any person from any walk of life (but hey, these are LUXURY apartments, right').



In short, you are in for a huge headache if you rent at this place. DO NOT RENT HERE.
