I have read several of these reviews and they are "true" from my experience. My experience being a tenant with repair issues, intercom issues, health and saftey code issues. Don't throw you money away. Take a look around, look at how well kept the sand volley ball court is when you drive in. There are weeds growing all thru it. You cannot tell me those "all" just popped up in a week. Good luck with the maintenance staff. You will get further taking action yourself. Try not having a Frig for 4 days and your food in a cooler. Then being told via phone you were getting a new frig. Nope they send some "handicap, wanna-be" maintenance guy out to fix it. Well it still works but it sweats now and does not stay cold at the coldest setting. Try having luke warm milk to drink...YUK. I have a friend who lives right next door the Oaks, she has lived there for 3 years and has had her share of things go wrong but no real complaints. Repairs were completed in a quick manner and no real trouble with the staff. Good luck in the winter. They do not plow or shovel the sidewalks. You will get snowed in and they will tell you that the staff cannot even get in due to weather conditions. Ok, so they cannot get in....How about picking up their phone and calling the someone to plow the snow. Oh wait they have no one. Don't be fooled by the water bill either. Call the water company and get records of the past monthly water bills for that apt. If they do not give you that #.....get out. They have no reason not to diclose that to you unless they have lied and said it will only be about $20 a month. Try $61 as the average for 1 person. They remind me of "used car sales people". Ok not all are bad but those apples that are ruin the bunch. If they will not disclose the information you ask for .... leave. Someone else with no sense and wants to waste money will rent here. 1 more thing for the record. The downstairs door leading out back of my apt complex.....there was a huge chunk missing in the frame work at the bottom. UGH......It did not look like someone kicked it it was rotted away once I got a better look. Then try dealing with roaches. Living there for 2 years.....never had a bug, never saw a bug ROACH that is. Then they are all over in the cupboards and the management staff says....we cannot get someone out for 2 weeks but we have spray you can use. WTF.....2 weeks I don't hink can or cans of spray will kill all of them. So I go get it they have 2 cans....ask for another...they say we gave you 1 already we are out. Ok so do you go buy more and deduct from your rent....Sure did. I bought 6 cans and took that amount of the rent to only get a notice that you owe them the remaining balance within 3 days or you will be charge a $50 surcharge' Well needless to say I was leaving the end of that month so they never got their $50 but they got my $99 deposit. After that I knew this was over......did not clean a thing and left the place a mess......there you go you get $99 to clean my mess up. HEHEE
DO NOT RENT HERE.....SERIOUSLY!!!!
