don't be lied to

We moved in several months ago and already are looking for another apartment. We found out very quickly that the promises about low noise levels and low crime were blatant lies. I haven't gotten any sleep since we moved in. We can hear every move our neighbors make and every word they say. It's amazing. I know of several residents that have complained in the past, and everyone is told that they're more than welcome to move. Of course, you can't because you're locked into a year lease. Our neighbors car was broken into, another neighbor said that she couldn't even leave her windows down when she was moving because she found someone going through her things, and another resident had their car vandalized. We were told that there was "security", but it's in fact just a guy that supposedly walks around with a big dog (that isn't supposed to be over 20lbs.). The no-tolerance noise policy is a lie because if it was true, the property would be empty. We've made complaints, but you can't expect your neighbors to not walk around in their own apartment. Now you have to either walk or drive a 1/4 mile to dump your garbage because they took out the dumpsters. We have only 2 big dumpsters for the whole "community". Everybody has been complaining to the office (they told me when I complained), but they apparently don't care too much. By the end of the week the garbage is so high you can see it from the road and the bugs are terrible. We'll be moving just like everybody else does.
