Hellacious Service

If you want a nice property to look at, this is great. We are quite pleased with our apartment (even though the reviews of paper-thin walls are true, we got over that) and the price, etc. The amenities are okay, although we rarely use them to avoid the all-too-fake staff. Which brings me to my point. The staff here, as mentioned in SEVERAL previous posts (tell you anything') are nasty. I have YET to deal with one who understands customer satisfaction. They have a fantastic facade of "loving their residents", but it is just that -- a facade. Where do I begin'
For 9 months in a row we dealt back and forth with $40 balances and credits on our rent. Eventually, we got a lawyer and sat down and went over EVERY ledger, just to find that they were so unorganized we were being screwed over and fees tacked on for nothing. that hasn't been as much of a problem since the legal intervention.
As mentioned, there are 2 main trash compacters on site. Before these were installed, we had a dumpster close by. When going to take our trash out, the dumpster had mysteriously disappeared. We set our trash out our back door for not even an hour, as we went back in to figure out where it went and get ready to leave for the day. In the meantime, managment brought us a piece of our trash (apparantly after OPENING THE BAG'!) and said "I think this belongs to you, and you need to take your garbage to the appropriate places". To make a long story short, they had moved the trash location and we took our trash up the hill and put it away. When we wrote the regional office in Cincinnati about this horrible incident and how we were treated by the staff, we got a response saying they had "talked to the staff" and that "all residents were notified by fliers, etc around the property and on the doors that the change would take place". That is a BOLDFACED LIE. If they have a problem with you, they are SURE to put fliers all over where you are sure to get them. There was no such flier. Ever. Anywhere.
Things like this happen at least once every 2-3 months. This has nothing to do with following rules. I, too, greatly appreciate a community that tries to keep some structure and safety. Who wouldn't' But when my husband's car window got broken into (on property) and we had (fitted, clear) plexiglass in it for 3 days until we could get the window replaced, we were threated to have it towed because it was "unsightly".
ANY interaction with the staff is unpleasant. They literally talk to you like you are the bain of their existence, and ultimately get their way by twisting policy to meet that day's needs.
Do NOT move in here, unless you don't mind incompetent people trying to take you for a fool. And if you DO, be sure to keep your lease, a copy of the rules, and a ledger of EERYTHING that goes on, and every penny you pay into this hell-hole... you'll need that coverage when you argue with the staff.
