I lived there for 4 years and at first, things were great. Then the second year, there was a noticeable lack of maintenance people around. Our particular building had sewerage backups in the lower level apartments several times a year, most of which required a plumbing contractor to come in- sometimes in the middle of the night- to clean out the drains and clean up the mess it made in the bathrooms. Imagine walking into the bathroom and find your tub filled with sewerage and it has overrun onto the floor and out into the hallway of the apartment. Only one time did they come and clean the carpets after that, even though several requests were made. To make matters worse, we got infested with roaches in the summer of 2007 and it took almost 5 months to get rid of them. It took over 2 months for the complex management to even clean out the apartment that caused the problem! After that, getting maintenance to do anything for me was nonexistent unless it was a health risk problem= like sewer backups.
When I moved out, after giving proper 30 day notice at the end of our lease, there were still several maintenance orders that hadn't been worked- including a stove that had 2 burners that worked off and on, and one burner that would spark if the electric element was moved at all.
Then they had the nerve to try and charge me for cleaning the carpet, burner drip pans and other things that should have been taken care of by maintenance previously.
Can you imagine what kind of mess the carpet was in due to 5 months of exterminations and 4 years of sewerage backups- and they wanted to charge me for that too!
DON'T MOVE TO FAIRFIELD POINTE IF YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED WELL, ESPECIALLY BY THE MANAGEMENT.
The new place I moved is older and yet better maintained and 100.00 less a month with no restrictions on pets and gives excellent maintenace when needed!
