I've honestly had nothing but problems with this place since I moved in. They screwed up my contract at the beginning so I almost didn't have a place to live. Then, they tried to bully me into renting a larger, more expensive apartment, stating that it was the only one available. After finally resolving the issue, the apartment that I did move into was filthy dirty, the master bathroom toilet didn't work and took almost 2 months to get them to fix it. I wanted to get a dog, but found out that their pet fee's are astoundingly higher than every place else I checked ($250 Deposit and $45 per month for one pet). So, just to keep one pet for a year would cost you nearly $800, which is the cost of my rent for one month. They have some kind of contract with a place called Hearland Regional Power Company, which bills you for "common gas" and "common electric" because they only have one large hot water heater to service the 4 or 5 units in your complex area. This means that your splitting the bill with your neighbors. For me, I live by myself and the other 3 apartments have whole families living in them, so I'm splitting their huge hot water heater bills while I contribute very little to the bill, which is a bunch of bull! The insulation in the apartment is terrible. There have been multiple water pipe breaks inside the walls between apartments in my complex. This also contributes to the innefficient heater running constantly. My heating bill exceeded $300.00 last month and I was gone on business for almost 2 weeks, during which time my heat was turned down to 55 degrees. The only good thing I can say about this place is that I'm a member of the golf course and I can walk right out and play at any time.
