The office staff is friendly but highly inept. I originally given, and signed a lease for, an apartment that had already been rented. Then, I was offered a "more recently remodeled" replacement unit at a "discounted price" that had moldy ceilings with holes, and a spider infestation. I was then shown another apartment, which was wonderful, told I could rent it at the price of my original unit by one staff member, and then told by another that it simply wasn't possible to rent me that unit at the quoted price. I eventually settled into a two bedroom on Woodstock that had a leaky ceiling and a hole somewhere in the kitchen that let in all manner of insects (crickets, slugs, spiders,etc.). The front step flooded everytime it rained. Maintenance calls are never completed, so hold on to your move-in condition report to prove that you are not responsible for pre-existing damage (windows that wouldn't stay open were never fixed). This is all without getting into the cost of heating and cooling such an old and poorly constructed structure. In winter and summer, my electricity bills could hit over $160 per month due to the cost of heating and cooling. While its cheap, and in a good location, going for a newer apartment complex will probably save you a lot of headaches.

I can relate to the VERY high Electric bills due to lack of olf units not properly updated...The Heartland Regional Power utility bill for water and trash/sewer and "shared Heating" and Common electric..Now that is just another story--Pay around $85monthly EVERY month-- this is 3x as much as my prev apt I stayed in!! the lighting at work out building is NONE...very dangerous up there. Police at complex a lot......alot of break ins.....I am READY TO LEAVE THIS PLACE NOW---------------------------Not safe and gross

I am a resident and absolutely hate this place. The first week that my wife and I moved in we had water leaking from the ceiling. The carpet was horrible. There were stains and tore op pieces of carpet at the threshold of every door. The maintenance department just sprayed a primer on the stains which got all over our computer desk and dining-room table. The landscaping is horrible and there is constantly garbage around my front door. The walls and ceiling look like they were once destroyed due to the layers of spackle all over the place. The windows look like they are over fifty years old and will not shut all of the way. i live in a townhouse and it is impossible to keep the place heated in the winter due to the crappy windows. This place is a complete dive. I know if they put a little effort into it the place could look really great. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a total dive!!!!!!
