Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

I lived there for only a year and pretty much realized that I had to get out of there. I reported twice that I had a peeping tom and had to call the police, I purchased a hand gun I was so terrified by the whole situation. I'm a small female that can verbally take care of herself but not physically. I reported the first time and they said there is nothing they can do until I call the police and make it a known situation to them. I caught the guy a second time I immediately called the police and demand the come as quickly as possible. I report this incident to the manager of the apartment and all she said was "I'm so sorry we'll check the light by your apartment and make sure that it's bright enough." Yes because that will completely stop a peeping tom. My back door could be opened even with the bar down it was not a sturdy door. My windows were all leaking so my electric bill to keep my apartment warm/cool was outragous at $120 on average a month. There is not one thing that you don't pay for, I even paid for the light to light by my apartment and common gas (I had no gas products in my apartment.) The management is rude and pushy with their sales. They tried to get me to stay at my one bedroom townhome by raising the rent almost $200!!! It took them two weeks and 3 tries to get my AC fixed. I continuely informed them that I worked an 8-5 job and would not be able to get to the apartment to be there until after 530 and they continued to send the maintenance guy to my apartment during the time I was working. They also had terrible communication with everything. When I turned in my notice that I would not be retaining my lease i received a letter a MONTH before I was to move out stating my last months rent price and other things (such as when to turn the keys in which was a day before I was actually suppose to be out of my apartment.) I didn't remember anything about the keys until I received a phone call the day before my last day saying that I was suppose to turn them in that day before noon (it was 230) I let the woman know I was only going to be able to turn them in after I got off work and that I didn't know that the rule was to turn them in before noon or pay for another month. So she promptly returned with "well it was on the letter I gave you June 4th in bold and underlined (my move out day was July 31st) i don't know what else you wanted me to do." This is one of the worst places I've ever lived! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER!

I am completely shocked by this review. I just moved there in june and now i am having serious doubts. I have had no problems with people and haven't really had to call any maintenance or office people for anything. Now, they did send the maintenance people out without my confirmation and they were in my apartment without me there. THEY ARE BY LAW NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS. If this happens to you...sue the hell out of them...if they refuse to fix something put your money in ESCROW!!! I had serious problems at my last apartment complex. I had no heat and they would not fix the problem. This complex is heaven compared to my last one but from hearing what you all have said I'm a little worried now. I live on Brittany lane. Please if anyone lives on brittany lane and is having serious issues with peeping toms or burglars please let me know! That is horrific. I despise the people at the office now. I hope all of you are ok though and I'm sorry to hear about your problems. Lets keep eachother informed.

My brother use to live on Brittany lane and when I was a kid we lived there too...same issues hard time getting someone in to fix it...when they did they would come when I told them I would clearly not be home...they never did come into the apartment without my knowledge or without someone in there...I lived on Woodstock by the way Anonymous number 1...as soon as you have a problem Anonymous 2 you push and push...i had doors that weren't fixed took me a week to get the guy to come fix the sink...I have a report out on them to the BBB so we'll see what happens...
