Regarding Kensington Park Water Bill

I looked at Kensington Park Apartments as a prospective tenant.
The apartments were clean and very nice, the tenants I spoke to said they enjoyed living there and the apartments were well maintained. During my first visit I was told the water bill was typically around $30 a month. I took home a application for a one bedroom apartment, but after reading the reviews here became worried about the actual cost of the water bill. I asked two tenants of Kensington Park what their water bill typically was during a month, one family of three with a one bedroom said the water bill totaled $45 a month, another single woman with a two bedroom said about $65. Both tenants said the water bill was excessive and included other fees. I brought this up during my second visit and was told that there were no fees included in your water bill other than water and trash removal, and that if the water bill was anywhere near that expensive those tenants needed to call the water company and get it changed. I was then told the average water bill per month was $20. Reading other reviews I learned water was paid through an outside company which is Heartland Regional Power, so I called their customer service number and asked what the average water bill was for a one bedroom. I was asked what the square footage was of the apartment (which should have nothing to do with the water bill) and was told that for a one bedroom, 800 square foot apartment the average bill was $50 to $55 per month and included water, trash removal, pest control and exterior lighting.
So your water bill is not only based on your water usage, but also includes other undisclosed fees and your water bill can vary per month. Water is still supplied to Kensington Park through the City of Cincinnati, but Heartland Regional Power manages the meters and adds on other fees to your bill so Kensington Park can make a profit. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
