I Love This Place

I have lived here for a year now, and I would like to give this place a great review. I have just read the negative review posted on this sight and I am shocked (I can't believe he/she is talking about the same place). The ladies in the leasing office have been nothing less than friendly and helpful every time I go over there, and many of them know me by my first name. The few times I have needed something fixed they have been out to fix it within 1-2 days. I live rather close to the bar (the Goat) and I rarely ever hear the noise, and I DO sleep with my windows open at night. My rent has not gone up except for the typical raise in rates at the end of the year, and in fact the leasing staff worked with me to draft a short term 2 month lease so I did not need to pay extra to go month to month recently. The only reason I am leaving the VPC is because I am purchasing a condo at another Lifestyle community across town (bc I love the atmosphere so much). As for the drain/sewage issues I have never had a problem, nor have I heard of anyone else with a similar problem. Everyone I know who lives here really loves this place.

...I disagree with this posting, and must say that the previous posting is pretty accurate in saying that the noise from the GOAT bar is very intrusive. Things won't be so bad in winter when it will be too cold to hang outside and play with the cornholes...but as for now it can get pretty loud over there. Not sure what is meant by trying to "trick you on your monthly lease amount" (guess everyone should doublecheck the document they are signing!), but I don't think the 1st posting was suggesting Preserve tried to up the rent mid-lease. They state that Preserve tried to get them into a different apartment that was painted and would have been an increase in rent. That part I can understand, but all you have to do is tell them 'no thanks'. All in all, this place is bearable, but for amount we are paying to live in the sticks outside columbus, I agree there are plenty of other choices around this area that are better for same amount of $ and some that are even cheaper.

I'm going to have to say the same. I live by the goat and I now know that I can only go to sleep after 12:30am Sunday-Wednesday and after 2:30am Thurs-Sat. The noise is ridiculous. I'm not sure if its the people, the corn hole, or my apartments lack of sound proofing. I feel like there's nothing I can do about it and its completely frustrating. I love the apartment itself but being as how I'm absolutely exhausted, I can't really enjoy it. I actually can't wait for it to get cold so that I can finally sleep again.

They say that the apartments are soundproof with your neighbors, but that's not true. We all know sound is a problem. Along with Lindsay and Lonnie, two of the incompetent people that work in the main office. If you call for anything, they will say they are busy, and will call you back...two hours or days later you might hear from them and even then you have to refresh who you are and what you are calling about. It easier to just go down there and see them...sitting. I am not sure why they are even there. They are rude and it's like you are interrupting their day if you call. I'm sorry, DO YOUR JOB. It's very obvious, that one of them probably wrote this or some one affiliated with Preserve Crossing. It doesn't contain a name for someone who wrote "I LOVE THIS PLACE" and "The only reason I am leaving the VPC is because I am purchasing a condo at another Lifestyle community across town (bc I love the atmosphere so much)." Who refers to this place as VPC and plugs Lifestyle communites except those who work there?!?!? What a joke!!! Hilarious!!

I agree with all of you this place sucks! You pay so much for rent for what looks like a great community with all of these fantastic "perks", but the apartments are not that great, and the noise is unbelievable. I can hear everything as if I am standing out side or am physically in someone else's apartment sitting in their conversation. I recently got screwed over when my lease was up and my rent magically went up $200 per month without any notice. They claim they sent a letter, but I never received anything. The office staff are unprofessional and lack any knowledge on how to do their jobs.

I agree with the original poster of this review and think that the negativity is from dummys that just want to complain. I do have to say that I will be at the Goat and will make sure to scream extra loud so that all the little girls out there that rent can hear me. By the way Lindsay takes care of selling condos which is why she is too busy for renters like you. I just bought a place there and she always answers any questions immediately without me having to wait at all. Crying is for little kids and I'm sorry that so many of you never learned that. I can't blame you however your parents are obviously the ones who failed here.
