This place is ridiculous. I just moved here a few months ago and WILL be leaving the SECOND my lease is up. I was fooled because the place looks pretty and I was in a rush to find a place. I guess I learned my lesson...here are the problems with this place...
#1 THE NOISE! ! ! I can hear EVERYTHING my neighbors do, from them walking up the stairs, to their conversations, to their toilet flushing, to their vacuum, to their shower, to their WASHER (I have to listen to every churn their washer makes when they run it..it's like somebody thumping on my ceiling for 30 minutes straight), to their SINK running, the list goes on. It's like having a stranger for a roomate. There is NO insulation in this place. PERIOD.The noise is RIDICULOUS. I never get a moment of peace. IF you don't mind hearing every breath your neighbors take, don't live here unless you are lucky enough to have a mute that never moves for a neighbor.
#2 the quality! The windows are the CHEAPEST pieces of junk ever. My bedroom is freezing cold because cold air whips right through them. Handles fell off of my bedroom closet door and the kitchen cupboard within a week of living here. The dishwasher is junk. The garbage disposal is junk.About the only thing of quality is the stove.
#3 the parking! The parking is non-existent. I pay way too much for this under-quality hole to be walking clear across the parking lot in 15 degree weather with a car full of groceries. You can hardly ever find a place near your home if you get home after 6. It's terrible.
#4 The upkeep! There are piles of dog waste, cigarette butts, and trash littering the front lawn. People should be rresponsible for cleaning up their own cigarettes and after their own dogs but they dont'and management here won't make them or clean up after them themselves. Lights have been burned out around my unit since I moved in four months ago. UNACCEPTABLE!
#5 The trash and mailboxes are clear out in BFN. I shouldn't have to drive to get to the trash disposal unit. I should be able to walk there. Same goes for my mailbox.
#6 The utility bills. This one, I realize isn't entirely the complex's fault, but if the insulation and windows weren't so AWFUL I wouldn't have the asinine bills I do. The complex I came from before did NOT have bills anywhere near this high because they actually had insulation.
#7 the TRAFFIC. Again, I realize this is not the fault of the complex, but anyone looking into moving to this area should realize the traffic is just nuts. That goes for most places in COlumbus, I realize, but the intersection of Rome Hilliard and Glenchester is dangerous and takes forever to make a left hand turn. Traffic is just the worst in this area.
Positives' It looks pretty nice, the stove is of good quality,...wow I'm grasping...there's an abundance of storage space under the bathroom sink and the maintinence staff was quick and knew what they were doing. That's about all I have to say that's good about this place. Don't do it. The noise level alone will make you regret it. I already do.
