I have lived here for 5 years and luckily am moving out shortly. They did do a bad job of notifying people about the parking lot when it was being re-paved. Something like that should be more than 24 hours. Also, it was UNSAFE to have one lane-one way going in and out of the parking lot. Cars were driving head on to each other...and there was no way to pull over to let cars through. We also had to park a distance from our apts and I had to walk thru wet tar to get to my apt. I ruined my shoes and tar is on my carpet in the apt. Do I care, no! It's the mngt's fault. We also have had black gunk seeping out of our faucets...sinks and shower head. It is gross and stinks. Bugs...yes the place is full of bugs. But that is what you get for living in the country. The people are also inconsiderate. We have a young gal who blasts her music at all times of day and mngt. doesn't do anything. We have to call the police just to get a response from someone. People drive like crazy and avoid the speed limit and stop signs. We were almost hit several times from people not stopping at stop signs. Please...live somewhere else if you want peace and quiet. One last thing, if you don't like dogs, this is not the place for you. People let their dogs do their business in other peoples grass and they don't pick it up. It's so dirty!!

If you think it's such a horrible place to live why did you continue to live there for 5 years? You're going to have bugs being that close to 2 ponds...duh!

I agree to the peace and quiet comment the train is a bit noisy at night but you barely notice it in the day. People do play their music and maintenance tries hard to clean up the yards in their free time. My biggest problem living there has been my neighbor who to me gets away with murder. her child has put sugar on my car and the office has done nothing. Her child has threated to knife my child again nothing. She was a player of loud music until I had to repeatingly have called the police to get her to turn it down. Other than this neighbor I love it. I love living around the ponds and ducks and it is bugsy in the summer but don't leave your doors open and try to get a top level apt. I love the landscaping and the golf course next door. My other neighbors are a joy to live around and they did just lay a new parking lot to the whole complex they also shovel the snow in the winter.They offer a pool and play ground thank you Jesus I never saw or experience a mouse however I do have foul smelling water around the start of summer every year which they say is from the air conditioner.....however this is coming from maintenance staff that say neither one of them have a sense of smell. If I had to rate Golf Pointe against other complexs' I would say come running. It is not as bad as some have made it seem I have lived in worst conditions. I have lived here almost three years.

I have lived here for four years and the only big problems here are in the office-paperwork is so far behind its crazy, people here have no common sense to pick up the dog poo after their animals, watch walking in bare feet around here, children here chase and throw rocks at the geese and ducks and parents don't seem to care, or the parents just drive through the crowds of birds without stopping, many don't even stop at the stop signs either, so you better watch your kids.If you have children the school for this place is horrible, you either have to use someones else's address or don't live here. Some people play their music really loud and nothing is done about that either, maintenece is pretty good though. One of my biggest problems when I lived there is too many cars in the parking areas that never move-I mean they sit there for years, some are abandoned,some broke down and others where the family thinks they should have 5-6 cars to just sit around.
